About Dr. Richard Miller

Richard C. Miller, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, author, researcher, and spiritual teacher who integrates Western psychology with Eastern wisdom traditions. He founded the iRest Institute and co-founded the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He’s known for his work on iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation, which has been recognized by the US Army Surgeon General for healing chronic pain and PTSD. Richard conducts research on its efficacy with diverse populations and leads international trainings and retreats on enlightened living. 

About Karen Soltes

Karen Soltes has master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work and Education, and over 35 years of experience in various therapeutic and educational settings. She has witnessed firsthand the benefits of iRest as an adjunctive treatment for PTSD, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, Depression, and Chronic Pain. Alongside her work at the VA, Karen is a founding partner of Warriors at Ease, dedicated to training yoga and meditation teachers for military communities. 

About Robin Carnes

Robin Carnes is an iRest Certified Teacher with extensive experience in yoga therapy and mindfulness practices. She co-developed a research protocol for yoga nidra meditation’s effectiveness in treating PTS symptoms for the Defense Department. Robin is the co-funder of Warriors at Ease, which trains yoga and meditation teachers for military communities. Her work has been featured in publications like the Washington Post and Yoga Journal.
